Belvedere is an independent artisan brand based in New York, created and run by multidisciplinary artist Aaliyah Mariah.

I design, handcraft, photograph, and package every piece you see. I’ve been making art as a hobby for over 15 years; I'm driven by a deep passion and a constant overwhelming urge to bring my ideas to life. My primary focus is jewelry and sculpture, but I also work with several other mediums, and I hope to learn many more forms of art throughout my lifetime.

I started making chainmail jewelry in 2025 and was immediately intrigued by its intricacy and uniqueness. Chainmail cannot be mass produced; each piece is painstakingly woven by hand over the course of hours, days, or weeks. This process has taught me patience, trust in my creative process, and mindfulness with each movement.

I feel as though I’m divinely driven to create, and Belvedere is the product of that feeling. It's an extension of my devotion, dedication, and discipline to creation. Throughout my work I explore subjects that I enjoy learning about, such as theology, anthropology, psychology, and much more. Some of my work depicts my relationship with and interest in various forms of media, while others are solely based off of intuition and embracing the connection I have with my craft. Spending time doing what brings me pure bliss all while making visually compelling artwork is at the center of why I do what I do.
